 Nothing like spending your 36th birthday helping out and giving back! Got to do a beach cleanup with a bunch of great kiddos and mentors from Steps LLC here in Kailua. Thanks for giving us the chance to help out and great work everyone!! - Al Smith  Seeing the world through plastic perspectives. Kahana Bay Beach Cleanup  Pounders Beach Cleanup!!! We were joined by a wonderful family with two small kids who just recently moved here! The kids got right after it and Kass and Chris had a great time teaching them about the Great Pacific Garbage Patch and the plastic problem facing the world today. Such an incredible day!  Cleaning ocean plastics off of Oahu's serene and wildly beautiful North Shore.
 Kailua-wide cleanup Makai Fest is well underway with cleanups being run by 808Cleanups, Hawaii Ocean Ambassadors, Treehouse Coworking, Surfrider, Seed World, the Kailua Neighborhood Board, Lanikai Brewing, Ocean Defenders, and more!!!! What a day cleaning the marsh, the parks, the trails, and the beaches!!! Way to go team!!!!  Cleaning beaches on Oahu's North Shore today. Gorgeous weather and the ocean is shimmering and crystal clear. Too bad plastic has washed up all around us as far the eye can see... Cant wait for the massive cleanup effort tomorrow in Kailua as part of Makai Fest! Dont forget to come check in to pick up supplies tomorrow at Lanikai Brewery from 9 to 11 a.m. Going to be epic! |
