Attended: Sustainable Coastlines' Earth Day Festival - Coastal Cleanup and Sand Sifter Competition @ Waimanlo Beach Park

Why is it that volunteering is more fun than just about anything I can imagine? People out smiling and contributing to a common cause - and a worthy one at that!

If everyone picked up a little trash every time they went to the beach, we wouldn't need to have and attend events like this....(But then again, they are super fun!)

Sustainable Coastlines put together a tremendous event with free food vendors, plenty of logistical support, and even brought out a pop-up mini stage that utilized volunteers who rode electric bikes to provide the power for free concerts by Mike Love and Luis Linares!

Sustainable Coastlines' next event will be held at Waikiki Beach on June 25th and if its anything like the one in 'Nalo, you won't want to miss it!
